CHILDRENS HEALTH

ALLERGY:

Allergy is one of the most common ailments seen in children, which includes Asthma, Allergic rhinitis, food allergy, Atopic dermatitis, Urticaria, Eczema, and Drug allergies. Allergy is the abnormal reaction or sensitivity to harmless substance that is usually overlooked by most people, and in most cases, it is hereditary. In Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, Allergies are due to the weakening of one's immune system to fight against antigens. Acupuncture and herbs are very effective for children in strengthening immunity and prevent the body to cause allergic reactions.

ASTHMA:

Each child with asthma has an exaggerated sensitivity in the lung's airway lining. When such things as the common cold, smoke, dust or animal dander trigger this sensitivity, the airways swell on the inside and produce mucus. The muscles around the airway then contract, narrowing the bronchial airways and make breathing more difficulty. This condition may be effectively treated with the Acupuncture at acute and sub-acute stages. In addition, more importantly continue the herbal prescriptions after the attack to strengthen the immune system.

EZCEMA:

In the sensitive skin of children, contact with allergen causes immediate reaction, such as reddening, swelling and itching (skin inflammation). The antigen may encounter skin directly or by injection, such as insect bites, or it may be infested, as occurs in some food or drug allergies that produce skin reactions. Acupuncture and herbal prescription are most effective to relieve the symptoms and prevent recurrence of skin lesions. Because once the immune antibodies build up, then skin allergic reaction will be minimized.

RHINITIS:

Sneezing, itching and runny nose, allergic rhinitis is a very commonly seen in child. They are affected by a variety of allergens, most commonly pollens and dust, or even a change in weather temperature. Children who suffer from this disease usually have a positive family history and an increased frequency of developing other atopic disease such as Asthma and Atopic dermatitis. PREVENTING TRIGERS:

Maintain a dust-free environment for children, especially cigarette smoke.
