Green Tea Effects on Arthritis

 

- Finnish study of 6,800 people
Excessive coffee drinking could increase risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis but only if you drink >11 cups/day (15 X RA)

Study in mice found the polyphenols prevents the onset of disease. Mice were given either green tea or water. The mice who drank green tea were less likely to develop arthritis and those did had much milder symptoms.
